Celebration of Occupational Safety and Health Day 2025 (OSH-Week)

The DBKU Auditorium recently hosted the successful Celebration of Occupational Safety and Health Day 2025 (OSH-Week), bringing together approximately 300 DBKU employees. This meaningful event served as an important platform to raise awareness and foster a healthy and safe work culture among DBKU citizens, contractors, and the local community.

The theme for this year’s OSH-Week was "The Impacts of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Our Workplaces and Safety Standards," highlighting the evolving role of technology in advancing occupational safety.

Key highlights of the program included the Launching Ceremony of DBKU Employment Safety and Health Week 2025 and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between DBKU and the Red Crescent Society.

In a proactive step toward strengthening emergency readiness and workplace safety, DBKU introduced a new initiative by installing Automated External Defibrillator (AED) equipment in the main lobby of the DBKU office.

We are proud that Red Crescent was invited to participate in this meaningful event to help raise greater public awareness of CPR and AED usage by showcasing Mindray AED during the program.

The event was graced by The Happy Dato Haji Hilmy bin Haji Othman, Mayor of North Kuching; Mr. Ramzi bin Abdillah, Director of DBKU; Dr. Chou Chii Ming, Deputy Chairman of the Red Crescent Association Kuching Branch; as well as DBKU Deputy Directors and staff.

This celebration underscores DBKU’s dedication to cultivating a forward-thinking, safety-conscious work environment that embraces innovation and community care.
