First aid isn't just for medical professionals. It's a life skill everyone should have.

When an emergency strikes, the first person to help is rarely a doctor — it's a family member, a friend, a colleague, or a passer-by. That's exactly why spreading CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) knowledge matters so much: a community that knows how to respond is a safer, more resilient one.

180 residents learned CPR and AED — hands-on

At Karnival Kesihatan 2026 (健康嘉年华 2026), MedikHub had the privilege of bringing CPR and AED education straight to the community. On the day, around 180 Segamat residents took part, learning and practising:

  • Basic CPR technique

  • How to use an AED

  • How to respond in an emergency

  • Why the golden window of rescue is so critical

Every participant who leaned in and learned took a real step toward a "first aid for all" society. Because in a critical moment, one correct decision — one pair of hands willing to help — can be the difference that saves a life.

Safer communities start with education

The goal of sessions like this is simple: give more people the skills, and the confidence, to act when it counts. And confidence matters, because the reality of cardiac emergencies is unforgiving:

  • Sudden cardiac arrest gives no warning.

  • Ambulances need time to arrive.

  • The people nearby may be the patient's only hope.

Every time someone learns CPR, and every time someone gets familiar with an AED, that's one more potential life-saver added to the community.

Every family needs a first responder

We say it often: every family needs someone who knows first aid.

Emergencies don't schedule themselves. They happen at home, at school, at work, and in public spaces — anywhere, anytime. Learning first aid isn't only about protecting yourself; it's about protecting the people around you, especially the ones you love.

Thank you to everyone who made it happen

Our sincere thanks to every partner, volunteer, and enthusiastic participant who made Karnival Kesihatan 2026 a success — and a special thank you to Segamat Central for generously sponsoring the venue, enabling us to run this community health education event and bring CPR and AED knowledge to more people.

MedikHub's mission continues

This is one part of a bigger, ongoing commitment. MedikHub will keep driving:

  • The AED Community Programme

  • Public CPR + AED training

  • School first-aid education

  • Workplace first-aid awareness

  • Public education on sudden cardiac arrest

The aim is to grow the number of community first responders — because every additional person who knows first aid adds a little more hope to the society we all share.
